Hip Homeschool Hop 3/7/17 – 3/13/17

Welcome to the Hip Homeschool Hop!

Hip Homeschool Hop
Thank you for linking up with us on our Hip Homeschool Hop! We’re glad to have you. And if you’re here to take a look around and find some fun topics, good information, ideas, or support, we’re glad to have you too! But first we hope you’ll take a look at some of our team members’ favorite posts from last week’s Hop. Enjoy!

A great article for this time of year is 12 Questions to Ask a Homeschool Curriculum Vendor. As we get ready for homeschool convention season, it’s great to have a plan in mind before you hit the vendor hall, and this article shares some information that can help you make sense of what’s available and make good choices for your family.

Our next two favorites have to do with homeschooling high schoolers. It can be a little bit scary thinking about making sure our students are prepared for homeschooling high school–especially if they are planning to continue on to college, but it can definitely be done! This article, Preparing for High School, shares information about preparing for high school. If you have older elementary aged students or middle school students, be sure to read this article!

And while we’re talking about homeschooling high schoolers, one of our team members, Heidi, linked up a post from her blog. It’s all about Life Skills as High School Electives: Home Economics and Shop Class. If you have high schoolers (or will have soon!) be sure to read her tips on including these subjects in your homeschool as electives. Not only are these important life skills, but they’re also a great way to get some electives taken care of!

Guidelines for the hop:

  1. You can link up to 3 posts from your blog. Make sure you use the exact URL to the post.
  2. You can link up kid activities, homeschool related, or homemaking/recipe posts. Posts unrelated to these topics will be removed. (Please no product reviews or “marketing” posts unless they are homeschool related.)
  3. Please either include the Hip Homeschool Hop button (found at the bottom of the site) or a link back to Hip Homeschool Moms.
  4. The linky will go live each week at 6am EST, and will be live until Saturday at midnight.
