This SNL Writer Still Irks Me – How About You?
Do you remember the NBC Saturday Night Live writer who was suspended for making a joke about first son Barron Trump being the first homeschool shooter? Well… she is back!
Katie Rich, the writer for SNL who tweeted: “Barron Trump will be this country’s first homeschool shooter,” during the Presidential inauguration, quickly drew sharp criticism for her comment from both sides of the aisle… justly, in my opinion. Not only was it inappropriate and inaccurate about homeschoolers, Barron was only 10 years old when Rich tweeted her post.
It appears Rich is off suspension. According to various sources, Rich was given a writing credit on an August 10th episode of “Weekend Update: Summer Edition.” It was Rich’s first writing credit since she was suspended in January.
How do you feel about her being back at work?
(Please don’t comment about politics… this is NOT about her politics… but her awful treatment and stereotyping of homeschoolers).
