Lilla Rose Flexiclip Review & Giveaway {closed}

So I have long hair, really long hair by some standards. It’s hip length, and putting it up isn’t always easy. Those clips and holders at the drug store can’t do a thing . . . except fall out within 20 seconds.

I used a simple & plain hair stick (literally about the size of a pencil) for years. Just tied my hair in a knot, stuck the stick in, and sprayed it all with hair spray. Not exactly the most attractive hairdo ever.

I have been so happy since discovering the Lilla Rose Flexi Clips. No more dull hairstyles, no more struggling with hair clips that can’t hold anything more than six inches long. Instead, Flexi Clips give me a simple, easy-to-use, and gorgeous way to put up my hair.

Jennifer Miller, our friendly Hip Homeschool Lilla Rose representative, sent me six beautiful clips to try out. I chose the large size because of my hair’s length and because it’s about medium-thick. My intention was to use the Flexi Clips only for up-do’s, and the large size is perfect for me to do that.

Lilla Rose Flexi Clips

Lilla Rose offers dozens of styles to suit any tastes. The ones I chose are:

Silver Scroll-Work Butterfly
Plumeria Flower
Silver Etched Lilly
Antique Style with Jet Dangles
Etched Lilly with Amethyst
Fancy Blossom Dangle

Most styles are available in all sizes (mini through mega), though sometimes a size will be sold out. The Lilla Rose website has tons of information on selecting the right size for your hair. I found the sizing video especially helpful and watched it a few times before deciding on the large size.

Next time I order, I will probably try a medium size so I can use the Flexi Clip as a ponytail holder. The large slips right off my ponytail but is perfect for a French twist or bun.

The Lilla Rose website also offers tips & instructions for several ways to use the Flexi Clip. My favorite way to use them is actually something simple that I came up with myself. It’s a sort of elongated bun (more of an up-down oval shape instead of a circle) with one or two Flexi Clips. (One if my hair is wet when I put it up – two if it’s dry.) This looks so pretty and will stay in place for 12+ hours!
