10-reasons-why-homeschooling-is-perfect-for-late-readers

One post we really loved from last week was 10 Reasons Why Homeschooling Is Perfect for Late Readers. So many homeschooling moms worry that their late readers won’t ever learn to read or that they have a terrible problem, but it’s often simply a case of a child needing extra time or encouragement or a different method of teaching/learning. In any case, homeschooling is great for late readers!

One of my (Wendy) favorite articles from last week was The History of Fake News in the U.S. & Teaching Students to Recognize It.  It’s amazing how much fake news is being presented to us, and I think it’s so important for us and our children to learn to recognize it! I hadn’t ever really thought of exactly how or why this fake news epidemic began, so this article was very interesting! And it also reminded me that, as the mother of teens, I need to be sure my children learn to recognize fake news so they can disregard it and look for the truth instead.
