KidCoder Beginning Web Design

KidCoder provides the hands-on introduction to set them on their way! KidCoder: Beginning Web Design is the first semester course of the Web Design "KidCoder" course-year (followed by Advanced Web Design), and teaches students grades 4 & up how to create their own web pages using HTML, XHTML, and CSS.

Chapters cover basics of software and basic conventions, web design, "mark-up" language, way to create HTML, file extensions, specific HTML elements, CSS, NAV bards, cascading patterns, raptors, graphics, and more.

Important concepts, sidebars that highlight additional information, chapter review summaries, and "your turn" practice activities are highlighted within each chapter. Plenty of screenshots and visually distinct HTML ensure that instructions and code is clearly understood. When the course is completed, students will have built a multi-page website!

No prior computer programming or HTML experience is required; the other year of KidCoder, the Programming series, can be completed before or after this course. Course CD with set-up program is also included. 234 pages, indexed, softcover.

I feel that this is a very thorough program but it seemed dry to me. It was difficult for my son to follow.
