We used this with a geography course. It is a fun way to approach learning about other cultures.

Check your library for similar books, but this is a great addition to a countries and cultures study, whether MFW ECC, GtG, etc.

We picked it up at our local homeschool convention to have recipes for when we start studying countries. I like that the majority of the recipes have ingredients that we use on a regular basis. Nothing is more sad than when you want to cook a particular recipe only to find it uses spices or ingredients that you don't normally cook with and would have to go buy a large amount just for a tsp or two. I also like that there are lines at the end of each recipe so you can add notes or ideas for additional things to go along with dinner!

We used this along with the Trail Guide to Learning series. My kids had fun deciding on the recipes and spreading their wings by trying new dishes! These are great books.

I used this with 1st and 4th grade girls doing a world geography study together for the '14-'15 school year. The 4th grader especially loved this little book! I liked that it used common ingredients I could find in any grocery store, and the recipes were fairly simple to accomplish. The 4th grader was able to make many of them "on her own" (mom or teen sister always keeping a close eye).

This year my 7th and 10th graders will be studying world geography, and this simple, easy to use book will be in their schedule too.
