Written to teens directly!
Help for High School is a self-directed writing program for teens that both teaches rhetorical thinking in writing, as well as the academic essay formats for high school and college. Teens work independently of their parents, however rubrics for feedback are included, as well.
This home-study course comes in a digital format and can be purchased alone, or in combination with The Writer’s Jungle.

The book is very conversational. I went through it and some sections was a struggle to get through. It is not a stand alone program. You do need other resources to round out the writing program. I see this as a supplemental program. I recommend Lively Art of Writing as the Main program and this one as a supplement to any program.

I would only recommend this program to someone who has already read and implemented the BraveWriter philosophy/curriculum with their children and is VERY comfortable with teaching high-school level writing on their own. It would be impossible for a student who is not already a very efficient independent learner.
