Art of Argument is a fabulous introduction to the logical fallacies. It's user friendly, easy to use independently or in a group, and effective.
My children used this in 7th and 8th grades. I tried to do it as a group to discuss them together, but when we couldn't it was easy enough for them to do it independently. They had a great time "arguing" against the ads and making their own. I will be using it again with my younger kids.
This book can be completed in a semester if you work on it daily, or a year if you do it once or twice a week.
