Child Training Bible Review & Giveaway {Closed}

When I was presented with the opportunity to review the Child Training Bible I knew it was an offer I simply could not refuse. In my life experiences, nothing has quite challenged me like the fine art of training our children as unto the Lord. And it is with a humble heart I say: I will take all the help I can get.

The Child Training Bible is a wonderful resource to help you organize and easily find the scriptures that you would need when both teaching and disciplining your children. There is a handy reference key page you place at the front of your Bible color coding the following topics:

  • Anger
  • Complaining
  • Defiance
  • Discouraged
  • Disobedience
  • Fear
  • Fighting
  • Gospel
  • Impatience
  • Jealousy
  • Laziness
  • Lying
  • Making Excuses
  • Not Listening
  • Pride
  • Quarreling
  • Selfishness
  • Stealing
  • Tattling
  • Unforgiveness
  • Wrong Friendships

What makes this Bible all the more amazing are the easy reference cards that give you topical scriptures to go with the above list. Once you find the scripture you want to use for the topics above, you will then locate the color that correlates with the topic on the reference card. After finding the right color, highlight the scripture in that color as well as use the post it tab in the same color. Voilà! You have just made your first of many easy-to-find child training scriptures.

In addition the scripture references on the cards, you also will receive questions to ask and a scriptural prayer as well. We are enjoying the usage of this new tool in our family and have already benefited from the ability to quickly turn to a scripture on any given topic of training. I think that the Child Training Bible would be an amazing asset to any homeschooling family.

  34. Our children are such a great stewardship given to us by God and one day we will return them to the Lord. As a parent I live very aware of the fact that one day they too will stand before the judgement seat of God. I feel very blessed to be a stay at home mom and my main priority in raising my children is to instill the the things of the Lord into them and to hide his word in their hearts. Proverbs tells us to “train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it (22:6).” The way that you have put these references together in this bible looks like a very effective way to accomplish this. I would love information on how to acquire one of these resources. Thank you so much for your labor in the Lord.
